VAnetworking.com Birthday Bash!
VAnetworking.com is throwing a Never Ending 5 Year Birthday Bash! Tawnya and the gang at VAnetworking have been working hard at getting this wonderful party set up for all the wonderful virtual assistants who support the VAnetworking forum.
It’s going on from September 3rd until the end of the year! That’s one heck of a party! Be sure to RSVP for the party! (Yes, RSVPs are required.)
Overheard on LinkedIn – Virtual Assistant Question
In preparation for a seminar a fellow VA is presenting later this week, she posed a question to LinkedIn members about the social marketing tasks they would be comfortable outsourcing to a VA. One person actually said, “Honestly, I can’t think of one task that I would be comfortable having an assistant take over.”
To me, the above statement shows a lack of understanding of exactly what a VA does and how they work WITH their clients. I do not have a lot of time this morning to devote to this particular post, but I plan on getting a more eloquent post together later today about my thoughts on the above statement.
YOUR comments are welcome!
Why aren’t you using email marketing for your small business?
If you think email marketing is only for the “big boys”, think again! Email marketing is one of the most powerful and effective marketing tools available today.
- It’s cost effective. There are no printing costs and you can reach hundreds (or thousands) of customers and potential customers on a limited budget.
- It’s trackable. Almost every email marketing campaign service has a tracking system in place to measure how many of your emails are actually delivered, how many people actually open your email, how many click links in your email and how many “convert to a sale”.
- It’s instant. Your customers get current information about your business and products immediately – without having to wait days for the mail.
- It’s easily outsourced. Email marketing is easily outsourced to a Certified Internet Marketing Virtual Assistant. A Certified Internet Marketing VA can take the worry, headache and learning curve out of the equation.

Virtual Assistants flock to participate in the 2008 Virtual Assistant Industry Survey
Virtual Assistants are fed up. They’ve had it with inaccurate media portrayals and reporters who don’t get the facts right. They’re sick of exploitive industry outsiders who don’t understand the Virtual Assistance business misinforming their marketplace. They’re tired of constantly having to explain the difference between an employee and an independent service provider. And they’re having their say about it all by participating in this year’s third annual Virtual Assistant Industry Survey.
Every August marks the time of year when Virtual Assistants can contribute to the statistics and body of knowledge that is improving the industry’s understanding of itself and the education of its market. Sponsored by the Virtual Assistance Chamber of Commerce, over 10,000 Virtual Assistants from around the globe are invited to participate. Created by Virtual Assistants (the folks who know the industry best!), the Virtual Assistant Industry Survey is the most comprehensive and in-depth survey in the Virtual Assistant profession. With 101 questions, the survey includes detailed cross-sectional data that represents every area of the industry. It offers unprecedented information about individual and business demographics, market data, and services. Other survey topics include:
- Education, experience and credentials
- Employees and subcontractors
- Clients and target markets
- Hours and services
- Pricing and income
- Training and continuing education
- Marketing and networking
- Success, profitability and entrepreneurship
- Standards, Ethics and Educating the Public
Sherra Scott, a Virtual Assistant in Elgin, South Carolina and owner of Quality Practice Management Solutions at www.QualityVA.com, made haste to be included in the survey. “Having more information available to the business community about the virtual assistant industry will give a better view of how the industry operates and how virtual assistants can help small businesses grow,” states Scott.
“Thousands of writers, reporters and journalists have access to the Virtual Assistant Industry Survey. It gives them all the information they need to write the articles and profiles that more accurately portray our profession and educate our marketplace. That’s why it is so very important that every Virtual Assistant take a moment to participate,” stresses Danielle Keister, founder of the Virtual Assistance Chamber of Commerce.
The 2008 Virtual Assistant Industry Survey is open to all professional Virtual Assistants. A copy of the 2008 Virtual Assistant Industry Survey Report will be provided at no charge to every participating Virtual Assistant at the end of the survey period. Virtual Assistants can participate by visiting http://www.virtualassistantnetworking.com/survey.htm
